Life as a Mom of Twins

Here are my precious twins! Twin photography is breathtaking.

Here are my precious twins!

Life as a mom of twins is not for the faint hearted! I love being a mama and having twins, but it is hard! My husband said it best the other day when we were reminiscing over the last 8 1/2 months since our twins have been alive. Matt said, ‘The days are long and the weeks are short.’ I could not summarize it any other way. Sometimes I feel like the day will never end and yet the weeks fly by and I wonder how it is possible that my babies are almost crawling, talking, walking. Motherhood is the hardest and yet most rewarding thing I have ever had the privilege of doing. I am truly blessed to have Luke and Julia and a loving, supportive husband. However, just because I am blessed, doesn’t mean I don’t have a good cry once and awhile or feel like I have nothing else to give. My faith and support from friends and family helps me be the best mom I can be!

I love that I get to be there everyday, all day, to watch over them. I love being there for their firsts! I love hearing them laugh and jabber away. I love watching them interact! I would not trade being a mom of twins for anything in the world!

I hope you enjoy the picture montage of our life! Thank you Cory Wilkes of Wilkes photography for taking photos of our kiddos (I am sure you all can tell which are the professional pictures)! Check out her fantastic website,

Luke Walsh

Little Luke looks like an old man in that outfit, but I love it!

Julia Walsh

Julia has such distinct features.

Matthew and Alissa Walsh with their twins.

Our first appearance out since having the twins. We attended a family friend’s wedding.

They definitely look like twins.

I can’t stand the cuteness! Can you tell my kids don’t rock onesies that often?

Affectionately known to this day as Princess Julia.

Peter Pan and Tinkerbell baby costumes.

We were given a Tinkerbell costume, so I had to make Luke Peter Pan. TOO CUTE!

  1. I also have 8 1/2 month old twins and was nodding my head as I read your summary of life as a twin mom :) Your babies are beautiful and look to be incredibly loved. Carry on, Mama!

  2. Cute, cute blog! Love all of your crafting ideas, and your family is adorable!

  3. Adorable family! I don’t know how you have time to do all those creative crafts and watch your twins.I am also a stay at home mom and I get flustered just trying to make dinner at night with one fussy baby (our little boy is 7 months old). He wants to be constantly held!

    • I would love to chat about being moms of twins!
